Commitment to education

Education is a human right. The cultural identity of the individual and society as a whole are derived from education and it is also a prerequisite for peaceful coexistence. Basic education is a requirement for self-determination and thus the will to take one's life into one's own hands.

The Hilti Foundation has played a major role in the founding and development of the International School Rheintal. Today it still supports the continued expansion of this English language school, which in turn boosts the attractiveness of Rheintal as a location for qualified foreign manpower.

Together with the non-profit-making organization Ashoka, the Foundation also funds educational projects in Egypt.
