Empowering People Together: A Look Back at 2024
In 2024, people and their communities made important progress—gaining new skills, building safer homes and contributing to stronger, more sustainable environments. Together with our partners, we are proud to play a supporting role in these efforts, helping to create opportunities for lasting change. From Nepal to Peru, Liechtenstein to Kenya, here are some of the year’s highlights.
Empowering youth through vocational training
In East Africa, the PropelA initiative continued to bridge the gap between education and employment. This year, over 200 apprentices participated in dual vocational training programs tailored to the construction sector. By equipping young people with practical skills, PropelA offers them a pathway to self-reliance and a brighter future.
Safe homes built with Bamboo
In Nepal, resilient bamboo housing is transforming lives. Families like Reshmi’s, who previously lived in unsafe conditions, now have secure, stable homes that withstand the challenging climate, offering a foundation to invest in education, healthcare and livelihoods. For Reshmi, her new home means freedom from fear and the chance to focus on her children’s future.
Music transforming lives in Peru
Through Sinfonía por el Perú, music is creating life-changing opportunities for children and young adults. Participants like Anderson gain discipline, teamwork and confidence through choirs and orchestras. This year, he performed at the prestigious Summa Cum Laude Youth Music Festival, an experience that inspired him to carry these values into his studies, work and community.
Supergut: A fresh perspective on biodiversity
The “supergut” initiative turned biodiversity into a fun learning experience: “Tatort Biodiversität” brought together key stakeholders to explore the topic engagingly, while a creative escape room challenged participants to stop a villain threatening nature. Corporate volunteering added hands-on action, empowering communities to protect biodiversity in playful and meaningful ways.
Hands-on impact through corporate volunteering
Hilti employees contributed to enhancing biodiversity and strengthening communities through the Engaged Beyond Business program. From planting native species and improving habitats near the Schaan campus to building homes, their efforts demonstrated how hands-on action can make a meaningful difference.
Looking ahead
These initiatives highlight what we’ve accomplished together in 2024. Rooted in Liechtenstein and working worldwide, we remain committed to empowering people, supporting growth and contributing to sustainable change. A heartfelt thank you to all our partners, team members and communities for making this possible.
We look forward to continuing this journey together in 2025.
