Bicycles for Ukrainian Refugee Families
The "Bicycles for Ukrainian Refugee Families" initiative was started by Nataliia Livers, who originally hails from Ukraine herself. In mid-July, the Heilpädagogisches Zentrum (HPZ) handed over around 50 bicycles to their new owners. The Hilti Foundation is pleased to support this initiative.
Livers has lived in Liechtenstein for many years and is well connected. For several months, she has been actively supporting her fellow countrymen and women who are newly arriving in Liechtenstein and has been thrilled by the positive response in the country. Collaboration with various institutions and financial contributions have made it possible to provide the refugees with essential items.
Among her efforts, Livers launched the "Bicycles for Ukrainian Refugee Families" initiative, as there was a high demand for bicycles. The bicycle workshop at the Heilpädagogisches Zentrum (HPZ) quickly became the ideal partner. The HPZ workshop team thoroughly refurbished and serviced around 50 used bicycles for both children and adults. These were handed over to the families in mid-July.
"We see this as a very successful win-win initiative, providing an engaging task for our workshop participants while also helping the refugee families. A big thank you from our side," said Christian Hausmann, Managing Director of the HPZ.
Thanks to these bicycles, the families now enjoy greater freedom and flexibility in both their daily lives and leisure activities. The project costs were covered by a donation from the Hilti Foundation.
We wish all families exciting explorations and safe rides!
