Investing in the Development of Daycare Leaders

The Verein Kindertagesstätten Liechtenstein is enhancing its leadership through targeted further education, supported by the Hilti Foundation. Through this training, leaders and their deputies gain essential skills for greater self-responsibility and handling increasingly complex leadership and care tasks.

In recent years, the demand for and the requirements of external childcare have significantly increased. What was once a purely caregiving task has evolved into a fostering and development role that demands expanded skills. A central challenge is the availability of sufficiently qualified caregiving personnel. This shift is also reflected in the care facilities of the Verein Kindertagesstätten Liechtenstein, short Verein Kita, which has prioritized the training of its staff for many years.

“A good education ensures good quality in our daycare centers and day structures,” says Managing Director Daniela Meier.

Further training for leaders

In response to current challenges, the Verein Kita aims to prepare its staff for the future, focusing particularly on the development of its leaders. For this reason, it has organized an in-house training course for the Federal Professional Examination for Team Leaders in Social and Social-Medical Institutions in cooperation with the “bke Bildungszentrum Kinderbetreuung” in Zurich. The training is attended by leaders and their deputies, whose acquired qualification will ultimately provide significant added value for the agility of the entire team.

Promoting Liechtenstein as a location

The Hilti Foundation is committed to areas such as “Self-Determined Life” and “Competitiveness & Quality of Life” in Liechtenstein and the surrounding region. This includes the provision of good childcare, which is why the foundation financially supports the further education program of the Verein Kita.

“The compatibility of family and work is very important to us. This also includes the option of relying on high-quality external childcare,” says Michelle Kranz, Managing Director of the Hilti Family Foundation.
