“supergut” Promoting Biodiversity in Liechtenstein
"supergut" is an initiative to promote biodiversity in Liechtenstein. Together with a network of experts, the Hilti Foundation aims to make biological diversity a topic for everyone.
Biological diversity is a special asset and indispensable for humans, but it is steadily declining. A study shows that biodiversity in Liechtenstein has also decreased over the past 40 years.
The "supergut" initiative aims to give a voice to biodiversity in Liechtenstein, highlight connections, and explain them in an understandable way. Concrete tips are intended to encourage participation because everyone can contribute. The initiative also serves as a mouthpiece to give more attention to existing commitments in Liechtenstein. Additionally, synergies between individuals, as well as ongoing initiatives and institutions, are to be promoted.
"We want to broadly communicate biodiversity together with a network of experts. It's about utilizing potentials and providing a platform for existing knowledge to reach more people. That's why we consciously chose an unconventional approach for 'supergut'," says Michelle Kranz, Managing Director of the Hilti Family Foundation Liechtenstein.
"supergut" is an independent label with high recognition value. The initiative conveys knowledge about biodiversity in Liechtenstein and its preservation. Posters and ads, short videos, social media channels, and the website supergut.li explain aspects such as species loss, neophytes, or soil sealing in a simple and user-oriented manner—with the goal of raising awareness among the population, positively anchoring the topic, and ultimately inspiring people to take action.
"For success, we need everyone. The key to this is understanding the incredible services that ecosystems provide for us humans," Kranz is convinced.
