Initiative "supergut" Aims to Inspire Liechtenstein to Embrace greater Biodiversity

"supergut" is an initiative dedicated to promoting biodiversity in Liechtenstein. With the support of a network of experts, the Hilti Family Foundation Liechtenstein aims to make biodiversity a topic of interest for everyone.

Biodiversity is a precious resource essential for human survival, yet it is in decline. A study reveals that biodiversity in Liechtenstein has decreased over the past 40 years.

The "supergut" initiative seeks to give a voice to biodiversity in Liechtenstein, illustrating connections and providing clear explanations. Practical tips are offered to encourage participation because everyone can contribute. The initiative also serves as a platform to amplify existing efforts in Liechtenstein and promote synergies among individuals, ongoing initiatives, and institutions.

"We want to broadly communicate the importance of biodiversity through a network of experts. Our goal is to utilize potential and provide a platform for existing knowledge to reach more people. That's why we deliberately chose an unconventional approach for 'supergut,'" says Michelle Kranz, Managing Director of the Hilti Family Foundation Liechtenstein.

"supergut" is a standalone brand with a high level of recognition. The initiative shares knowledge about biodiversity in Liechtenstein and how to preserve it. Through posters, ads, short videos, social media channels, and the dedicated website supergut.li, topics such as the decline of species, invasive species, and soil sealing are explained in a simple and user-friendly way. The aim is to raise public awareness, anchor the topic positively, and ultimately inspire people to take action.

For success, we need everyone involved. The key is understanding the incredible services that ecosystems provide for us, Kranz asserts
